St. Luke’s held a COVID-19 vaccination clinic in the Treasure Valley on Saturday, where more than 1,500 people received their first, or in some cases second, dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
A spokeswoman for St. Luke’s Health System said health care workers, first responders, teachers, daycare workers, and correctional/detention facility staff were among those who received the vaccine.
Idaho’s COVID-19 Vaccine Advisory Committee established the priority groups to determine the timeline for when Idahoans would be eligible for the vaccine. Only people who fall within the state’s designated Groups 1 and 2.1 were able to schedule appointments for Saturday’s clinic.
