Pumpkin Spice Season!

The Treasure Valley has been flirting with fall weather long enough to the point where I’d say we can officially declare it PSL (Pumpkin Spice Latte) season. Now if you are like me and have never tried a pumpkin spice latte before, we aren’t sure what all the hype is about. I mean, is it really that good? Its not like its a jumble of fall joy stuffed into a cup or anything….but now that I mention it, I might have to cave to the peer pressure.

It seems like every year PSLs are released earlier and earlier, and it makes sense statistically. According to YouGov.com fall is the most popular season. I guess there is just something about a cozy fireplace and snuggling up with a good book or a tv show that really gets to people and makes them feel at home. Fall has the best of both worlds in Idaho, not too hot where you sweat in the car, but also not too cold where you have to constantly be warming the house.

You know for sure the seasons are changing when you walk into a store and the pumpkins are on display outside. However, in all honesty you could put the word “Pumpkin Spice” in front of anything and that would get peoples attention. I think everyone is just hoping onto the fall weather change in season bandwagon train, and apparently the gateway to that process is getting a Pumpkin Spice Latte. Someone needs to buy me one of these so I can see what all the hype is about, because I’m not about to spend my hard earned cash on a cup of disappointment!
