Newly announced American Idol judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Katy Perry made their first public appearance together on Good Morning America today (Oct. 3).
Before discussing their new AI gig with hosts Michael Strahan and Robin Roberts, the group shared their thoughts on the recent tragedy in Las Vegas.
“It was one of the most heartbreaking days of my life, and for this country, too,” said Luke, in part. “I talked to Jason Aldean very early that morning, and hearing one of your best friends shaken up like that, knowing they’ll never be able to un-see these things . . . there’s got to be something we can do, from the mental health issue to all of the issues that are causing these things.”
