Cloverdale Overpass To Partially Reopen Monday

Boise (670 KBOI News) – A year and a day after the deadly crash on I-84 under the Cloverdale bridge, which killed four people, including three Mountain Home Air Force Base personnel, the ribbon will be cut Monday at the new Cloverdale overpass.

ACHD spokeswoman Natalie Shaver says the project won’t be fully completed until September, but after 10:00 Monday, traffic will once again flow over the freeway.

“We said in a year we were going to have this road drivable, and we’ve been able to accomplish that,” said Shaver.  “So even though you can drive on it, one lane in each direction, you’ll still see construction, and you’ll still be impacted by that construction as we continue to work on the project.”

The project is in conjunction with the ITD…they’re building the bridge, and ACHD is widening Cloverdale between Franklin and Camas. Bike lanes, sidewalks and better signage and signals are also part of the project.
