Floating Season Approaches for Ada County

Floating the Boise River, it’s an annual tradition for many who live here and a bucket list item for visitors.

Ada County is doing normal stuff to prepare like monitoring river flows and air temperatures.

However, this year will be a float season like no other, because of COVID-19.

Floating the river during the pandemic is easy, but getting back to the park may require you to think outside the box as many people will not want to ride back on a full bus.

The county tells CBS 2 News they are working on a plan to make shuttle buses run with fewer passengers.

Float season normally opens around the first day of summer which is less than three weeks away.
