Ada County Assessor says assessment notices are being mailed soon

The housing market in Ada County is hot.

It’s so hot the Ada County Assessor said Wednesday that folks need to be prepared once they receive their assessment notices, which will be put in the mail beginning later this week.

Robert McQuade, county assessor tells CBS 2 News, in this red-hot market it has been very difficult to keep up with value increases.

The county says it’s hoping property owners are “ready for large value increases.” The average home in Ada County is now worth just a hair below $400,000.

McQuade says some homes have increased in value by 26 percent this year.
