Boise’s Beautiful Balloons

There are so many things that makes the Treasure Valley unique. There are so many secrets to be discovered, so many small things that really bring Boise and the rest of Idaho to life! While we might be small compared to some other states, there is not shortage of things that makes Boise one of the best places to be in the United States!

One of these events that really gives Boise an extra bit of pizzazz, is the Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic! Ever since 1991 Boise has hosted an annual event of launching these beautiful hot air balloons. While we may not be the best morning people, some things are worth getting up early for, and the Boise Balloon Classic is definitely on that list!

Hot air Balloons from all around the world come to Idaho just to take part in this event! It is hosted over the course of several days and each morning these balloons take to the sky and fly over the city, it is a unique experience to watch these Balloons fly up high while you are on your morning commute on I-84. Let alone actually being at Ann Morrison Park for take off. If you are lucky you might even be able to lend a helping hand to one of the balloons for take off, who knows if they even might invite you along for a flight!

Even if getting up early still isn’t for you, there is still a chance to witness something that really makes this event stand out. The night glow! One night during this event, there will be a night glow where these balloons are inflated after dark and the balloons will light up together in unison, creating a beautiful scene! This Boise Balloon Classic is just one of many other events that make Boise great!
