For the first time in almost 2 years, was Boise State able to host fans in the stadium for fall football and it couldn’t have been a better home opening game as the Boise State Broncos waltzed on the blue turf past UTEP beating them 54-13.
For a long time it felt as if the energy is Boise had died down due the fact that we were unable to attend Boise State football games for what felt like an eternity! After an unfortunate season opening loss, the broncos rallied for the home fans and put on an offensive masterpiece against UTEP and even set themselves in the top 10 in points scored against one team in one half in Boise State history.
This was a much needed performance from the Broncos as this victory will give the Broncos a much needed boost of momentum and confidence as the upcoming schedule definitely has some worthy opponents. It will be interesting to see how new head coach Andy Avalos handles the rest of the season, this 53 point pumping against UTEP definitely relived some pressure from Avalos.
Regardless of the season outcome, I believe most of us are just happy to finally be able to attend Boise State football games and be back in stadium once again. Go Broncos!
