Boise cemeteries open to all during Memorial Day Weekend

Cemetery staff will be available to help the public locate grave sites Saturday through Monday at Boise’s Morris Hill Cemetery in observance of Memorial Day.

In honor of Memorial Day, the public will be able to place wreaths, flags and flowers at grave sites at Morris Hill Cemetery, Pioneer Cemetery, and Fort Boise Military Reserve Cemetery.

All three cemeteries will be open to the public during Memorial Day weekend, but Morris Hill Cemetery is the only one that will be staffed.

Although flowers, flags and wreaths are encouraged, the public is not allowed to leave glass or breakable containers at grave sites.

If you are looking for specific information about Memorial Day, much of that is available on the city of Boise’s website.
