Boise Picks Work by Berkeley Artists for Vista Corridor Project

Boise (670 KBOI News) – The City of Boise has chosen Berkeley, California artists Saori Ide and Johnathan Russell’s design for the Vista Avenue art project.

According to the Idaho Statesman, the pair will receive  $147,000 for the design, installation and fabrication of the project, called “Transitions”. It consists of four so-called “colorful kinetic sculptures” representing the four seasons. The project will be built on the median along Vista Avenue.

More money will be spent by the City to hire an independent contractor to quote — design and construct the footing/anchor and manage traffic control and installation of the artwork”. The money will come from public and private sources.
