Oregon Man Charged in Kidnapping of Eagle Girl

Eagle (670 KBOI News) – An Oregon man is being held in the Ada County Jail, accused of sexually abusing a teenage girl from Eagle, after she was found in his home in Mount Vernon.

The Ada County Sheriff’s blog is reporting Andy Vogt was arrested by Grant County deputies after they were called by the Eagle Police Department. They found the girl at his home.

Investigators believe Vogt met the girl, who’s described as under 16, on the online “Meet Me” app. They believe he drove to Eagle, and on October 26th forced the girl to leave with him.

Vogt is charged with felony first-degree kidnapping and felony lewd conduct with a child under 16. Bail was set at a million dollars.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for the morning of November 19th.
