Student at NNU Tests Positive for COVID-19

 

A student at Northwest Nazarene University who has been living in on-campus housing has tested positive for COVID-19.

NNU says the student had been self-isolating since June 26th after suspected exposure. The person was tested on July 4th and received the positive results on Friday.

Officials say the student will continue to recover in their residence while in quarantine. Those who have had contact with the student are in self-isolation away from campus.

Officials at the University tells CBS 2 News this is the first known case of COVID-19 on NNU’s campus.

All campus buildings have been closed since March 21st.
