Top Restaurants in the Treasure Valley

If you are like me we often find ourselves in the exact same restaurant every time we go out, and we end up ordering the exact same thing every time. Why wouldn’t we if we already know it tastes amazing! However, things can get pretty repetitive and boring if you only choose to go out to the same location every Saturday night. Its also not the best idea to take every date you get to the same place, that has the potential to ruin a good restaurant if you happen to have too many dreadful nights.

I decided to make a list of my top restaurant locations in the Treasure Valley.

  1. Yard House: Located in the Village in Meridian, I feel like this is a solid place to go out no matter what the occasion is. Wether its a night out with your closest friends or celebrating an anniversary or the first date. Yard House offers a variety of moods. Anything from nachos and beer tastings, to pepper crusted filets with a variety of wines to choose from, Yard House has anything to satisfy your hunger.
  2. The Matador Boise: In the heart of Boise, located on 8th Street, you will find one of many popular restaurants located in Boise. If you tend to lean more towards a Mexican style food preference, The Matador in Boise will surely meet your expectations. With lighting to really set the mood of a night out with your partner or maybe a night out with the girls, The Matador has everything to make your night just the way you want it. Your choice of fajitas and margaritas, or maybe you are more like me and enjoy some spice, we will go for the habanero steak burrito and a mule.
  3. The Reef: Also located in downtown Boise off of 6th. This offers a nice upstairs room where a seat by the window looking down on a busy downtown street with ambient lighting lamps that hang down from the ceiling to really amplify your experience. This restaurant is much more first date friendly as it won’t cost you an arm and a leg to just have a salad.
  4. The Tower Grill: Normally, I would be turned off to any restaurant located in Nampa as someone who has grown up in Meridian as the drive does not seem worth it. However, The Tower Grill in Nampa is one that makes the trip more than worth it! If brunch is more your speed then The Tower Grill is one of the top choices in the Treasure Valley. Also open as late as 8pm on Friday nights. To be sipping on a mimosa as you watch private aircrafts land on the runway directly in front of you, talk about fancy! If your enjoying a signature cinnamon roll, or chowing down on a signature burger, just sitting on the outdoor balcony next to the runway gives you a unique experience to any occasion.

These are my top picks for best places to eat in the Treasure Valley, no matter what kind of mood you are looking to set. Enjoy!
